Kathy & PoPo

Kathy and Popo are mother and son Korean Jindos, ages 8 and 6 yrs old who need a new home by June 30, 2015

What a heartbreaking story.  Kathy and PoPo are mother and son Korean Jindos, ages 8 and 6 yrs old. Their owner loves them dearly and is heartbroken. He has some health issues and needs to retire to Korea, where the healthcare system is more accessible and less expensive than in the U.S. He has considered taking the dogs but is concerned about what will happen to them, should something happen to him once they are in Korea. No one will care for the dogs and they could end up at the meat market. He feels, as do we, that it is best for the dogs to find a new home here in the U.S. Kathy is super sweet and confident while PoPo is insecure, shy and very dependent on his mom, so they must go together. Both are typical Jindos, needing time to get to know someone new. Once they trust you, they love to give kisses. They have lived outside because other family members would not allow them inside but their owner would sneak in into his room for snuggle time. Kathy and PoPo have been well cared for and know basic commands and eagerly follow them. They must go together and do not get along with other dogs. They have not been around cats. We recommend a dog savvy home experienced with integrating high prey drive dogs with cats if cats are in the home. The dogs are located in Tarrytown, NY and are still with their owner. He is planning to leave at the end of June so time is of the essence in finding a home for Kathy and PoPo. Please help us circulate their story in hopes of finding a new home. These dogs cannot end up at a shelter. They will NOT do well. Dogs are spayed/neutered, UTD on vaccines.
